A non abrasive gently acting care system with a high potential of cleaning for gass permeable and hard contact lenses.
Idea for product design
A non abrasive cleaning solution, a poly functional rinsing and storage solution as well as a wetting solution with a special mixture of combined polymers ("anti soiling effect ") is supposed to with this regimen give best care and optimal comfort of the CL. The conservation agents are supposed to be well tolerated with a low toxicity showing a quick degradation.
Suitable
The "GPHCL" system is suitable for all current types of rigid gas-permeable CL (RGP).
- In spite of a highly effective cleaning power with tensides
"Cleaning C" does not lead to undue irritation with direct
contact with the eye.
- The high viscosity of the solution "Rinsing R" leads to a high
spontaneous compatibility of the contact lens on the eye.
Properties
Cleaning C
A Non irritating anionic tenside which does not bind to the matrix of the CL.
B Forms compounds with cations.
C Builds viscosity and foam.
D Conservation agent with disinfecting effect.
Rinsing R
A Buffer substance.
B Substance to achieve isotonicity.
C Forms compounds with cations.
D/E Water binding and protecting substances.
F Conservation agent with disinfecting effect
Impact
Cleaning C
A Cleans carefully the surfaces of the CL.
B Supports the cleaning effect by removing calcium phosphate
and calcium phosphor lipid compounds.
C Serves to increase the viscosity.
D Prevents the microbiological contamination of the solution and
thus transmission of micro-organisms.
Rinsing R
A/B Adapt the ph-value and the osmotic pressure to the
physiological value of the tear film.
C Supports the cleaning effect by removing calcium phosphate
calcium phosphor lipid compounds.
D/E Create a hydrophilisating layer to reduce friction between
contact lens and cornea Generate an "anti soiling effect".
F Prevents the microbiological contamination of the solution and
thus transmission of micro-organisms.
